Description
This is a practical, industry-related 2 months course concentrating on the skills required to start a career in the music business. Taught by music industry specialists and professional producers, the certificate gives students one of the most rounded and intensive practical programs currently available.
A modern producer is likely to be involved in many stages of the production process. Here we aim to give students an excellent grounding in a variety of essential music production areas. We feel that this is vital for the growth of a successful producer / sound engineer/ programmer / songwriter, whether they aim to work purely on their own material, or work with other artists and musicians.
Our students have access to the highest standard of facilities inside and outside of lecture times, giving them the best possible opportunity to become professional engineer, producer, writer, artist manager, or label owner. Our state of the art studio enables us to teach the most basic home studio skills right up to the latest and most advanced techniques currently being used in commercial studios.Our Music Production tutors work on a wide variety of styles and a broad range of subjects including studio recording, composition, sequencing,sampling, and music business among others. The result is that students can be assured of experiencing all areas of the music industry in one place. Our Production tutors have worked with numerous high profile acts including, Kidum,Eric Wainaina,Emmy Kosgey and many more.With our tutors currently working in the music industry, as well as teaching regularly all career advice and individual support is guaranteed to be relevant and current. This kind of advice is on-going, through lectures and tutorials throughout the length of the course.
Advanced level 5 month and 1 year courses are also available.
